The victor clinched the Moutai Singapore Open title by winning on the first hole of a sudden-death play-off. He secured his victory with a six-foot birdie putt on the par-five 18th hole at the New Course of Singapore Island Country Club.

Many were not surprised by his victory, given the impressive rise in his performance this year. In May, he secured The Crowns tournament—among Japan’s most prestigious events—and just two weeks ago, he finished tied for second place at the International Series Philippines.
